Rebecca Page Johnson has been a teacher and educational advisor since 1997. She has a Master's degree from Cornell University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Rebecca also holds a certificate in College Counseling from UCLA.  She is a New York State Certified Teacher and has taught in public and private schools in the United States and abroad. She served as an ESOL and Social Studies teacher at Ithaca High School in Ithaca, New York. She taught discussion sections at Cornell University in the Department of Human Development and was an English professor at Zhong Nan University in Hengyang, China.  As a graduate assistant in the Graduate Admissions office at Cornell University, Rebecca learned a great deal about the admissions process at competitive universities. She has taught many courses in test preparation for the SAT I Verbal, the New SAT, and the TOEFL exam. Rebecca has extensive experience working with students in college admissions, essay writing, and test preparation. Rebecca’s clients have been accepted at many prestigious colleges and universities including Brown University, Cornell University, Mount Holyoke College, Sarah Lawrence College, University of Michigan Ann Arbor, U of CA Berkeley, and Wellesley College.

Rebecca is an associate member of the IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association) and adheres to its Principles of Good Practice.  Rebecca was a participant in the IECA Philadelphia Conference in November of 2005.  At the conference, Rebecca attended professional development seminars in Pre-Medical Advising, Financial Aid Advising, Performing and Visual Arts School Advising, and Colleges for the Average Student.
